Destinations: Jet off to Chamonix ski resort

As we arrive into the colder winter months, Chamonix valley awakens as the ultimate winter sports destination. Some call this winter paradise the best skiing resort in Europe. With the highest summit in the Alps, Europeans flood in to enjoy these spectacular ski slopes at the base of Mont Blanc.

With stunning views of Mont Blanc, Chamonix is located in the east side of France, below Lake Geneva (Switzerland). Flying from London, one of our private jets could arrive at nearby Annecy airport in 1 hours and 20 minutes.

An endless list of sports and activities

Chamonix is an ideal ski destination for all ages due to its diverse choice of activities. Besides skiing, people enjoy hiking, rock climbing and paragliding for an even more immersive view of the stunning surroundings. If that wasn’t enough, you can learn to drive your own pack of huskies through the snow in ‘Husky Sledging’ lessons – a great one for the family to enjoy.

Next up is a real slice of Chamonix nostalgia. If you fancy a little break from the slopes, you can spend an afternoon on the Montenvers train, travelling to the very heart of the glacier. You can experience the tour of the “Grotte de glace” (ice caves), taking you on a journey through time to the mountain people that lived there in the early 19th century.

Of course, don’t forget Chamonix’s wonderful choice of cuisine and wine or the quaint boutiques and chocolatiers. There is also the option to relax in a number of luxury spas and pools.

When is the best time to visit Chamonix?

Above all, though, it’s the landscape and scenery that attracts so many tourists throughout the winter months. The picturesque mountainous backdrop featuring Mont Blanc towering above and bright glittering glaciers are a sight for even the non-skiers to enjoy.

The area is a stunning place to visit at any time of the year. However, the ski season runs from mid-December until April. As a result, we experience high demand for private jet charters to the area during this period.

Chartering one of our jets for your trip gives fast, direct and hassle-free access to the wonderful Chamonix resort. It may be considered the luxury travel option, but flying privately also means convenience – you can fly as a group, together with all of your ski equipment.

For many of our clients, the appeal is the short transfer times, as we land at airports much closer to the ultimate destination. The whole experience is far less stressful – you can arrive at the airport and be in the air within 20 minutes.
