Purchase Ledger Assistant

Zenith Aviation Limiteda Sunday Times Best Company to work for are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant based at Biggin Hill airport. Full time and part time would be considered.

We are very pleased to be expanding our accounts team. This is a great opportunity to join our team and support the accounts function providing an outstanding service to the organisation. The role will encompass Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations and Expenses processing.

 

 Role and Responsibilities:

  • Coding and Posting purchase invoices.
  • Checking purchase invoices against agreed supplier pricing schedules.
  • Querying purchase invoices where necessary and resolving query to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Being main point of contact for suppliers and accounts departments with regard to invoicing queries etc.
  • Payment Runs ensuring suppliers are paid promptly in accordance with agreements
  • Processing Ad-hoc payments if required
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Analysis of Employee Expenses
  • Assist with month-end activities
  • Assist with cover for Finance Assistant
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Petty Cash reconciliation
  • Assisting with full credit card reconciliation.
  • Intercompany reconciliation

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • Knowledge of purchase ledger
  • IT literate with Microsoft Excel experience and Sage Line 50
  • You will have both excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You will be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines without direct, daily supervision
  • Numerate and take pride in your work
  • Previous experience in similar role or within accounts function
  • Used to using Accounting Software and Ms Excel
  • Have accurate attention to detail and an ability to prioritise work load
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
